Ring in the New Year at Downtown Sarasota Block Party and Pineapple Drop Celebration. The ‘party kicks off at Friday, December 31 at 1 p.m. with amusement rides and games at Five Points Park, live music at Main St. and Lemon Avenue, food, drinks and food available on the street and at local bars and restaurants. The Pineapple drops at midnight followed by fantastic fireworks display over Sarasota Bay near Marina Jack.
