The City of Sarasota and the Sarasota Police Department are working with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to conduct a staffing study of the Sarasota Police Department during September 2017. The staffing study will be a comprehensive operational assessment of the Sarasota Police Department.
As part of the IACP staffing study, there will be a Community Forum held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Payne Park Auditorium, 2050 Adams Lane, Sarasota. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The IACP is seeking external input from the public.
“We value the input of our community,” said Chief Bernadette DiPino. “We are inviting and encouraging members of our community who are interested in the future of the Sarasota Police Department to attend this community forum. As part of our partnership policing philosophy, this is an important step in determining the needs of our community and the resources needed to meet those needs,” said Chief DiPino.
