SARASOTA, Fla. -- October 31, 2018 -- 11:30 a.m.

Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect who gained access to the café at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, 926 South Palm Avenue, Sarasota, on October 23, 2018 at approximately 1:15 a.m.

A suspect described as a male, approximately 30 years of age, is seen on video wearing a white v-neck shirt, entering the café after hours through an unknown point of entry.  Once inside, the suspect is seen on video rummaging through a cooler, removing and eating a sandwich, opening a jug of milk and drinking it and taking an unknown amount of cash from the register before leaving at approximately 1:35 a.m.
