Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect who was caught on camera New Year’s Eve morning.

The suspect entered the Colonial Laundry and Dry Cleaning, 290 North Lime Avenue, Sarasota, at approximately 8 a.m., December 31, 2018.  The suspect is seen on camera walking into the business and speaking with the victim.  A short time later, the suspect shows the victim a note that implies for the victim to give her all the money she has.

The suspect is believed to be female, between 5’10” and 6’0” tall, last seen wearing a red and white track suit, sunglasses and a wig.  The suspect put on a clear Halloween mask while inside the business.  The suspect took an unknown amount of cash before fleeing on foot northbound on Aspinwall Street.
