Sarasota Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying an armed robbery suspect who showed a firearm during an attempted armed robbery of a business in the 1600 block of North Washington Boulevard, Sarasota. on Monday, August 19, 2019 at approximately 7:40 p.m.

The suspect is seen on camera walking into the business wearing a black t-shirt, dark colored jeans, sneakers and a tan camouflage NRA hat.  The suspect walks up to the counter and demands money from the clerk while showing a firearm.  While the clerk speaks with another employee, the suspects leaves the business without any money.  The video can be seen on the Sarasota Police Department YouTube page at https://youtu.be/EKD3nJBkPLI
