The Sarasota Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred in the 1800 block of John Rivers Street, Sarasota, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

During this incident, an adult suffered a gunshot wound, and another adult sustained stab wounds. Both individuals were taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division. It is believed to be an isolated incident, and the public is not in danger.
